Sandy Bennett is a Senior Elite Tae Bo® Instructor at Team Tae Bo® Franklin.
She was born in Oklahoma and then moved to Texas where she became a competitive gymnast. She loved competing and also coaching youth gymnastics throughout high school. Her junior year she started training in rhythmic gymnastics. When it became an Olympic sport, her senior year, she moved away from her family to Florida to train in Rhythmic gymnastics with Russian coach Marina Davidovich. Sandy qualified and competed in the USA Nationals for 5 years. She was chosen twice to train at the Olympic training center. She received many awards during her competitive years and was able to travel nationally and internationally.
Sandy has been very involved in Dance Ministry in churches where she choreographed for many large church conference, award shows and special events. Sandy was certified in Tae Bo® in 2008. She taught Tae Bo® at church and in a large homeschool co-op for a few years and has been teaching with Shellie Blanks Cimarosti since 2010.
Sandy continues to teach dance and choreograph and enjoys writing plays with her husband Joel Bennett. Sandy is the mother of 3 boys. All three of her boys, Zach and twins, Andy and Alex, wrestle for Gardner-Webb University.
